Kraken to Launch its Own Bank “Very Soon”

On September 2020, media announced that Wyoming granted Kraken a license to create a special-purpose depository institution in the state and there was an intention to launch the bank sometime by the first quarter of 2021.

It took much longer, but yesterday Kraken posted that it is on track to launch Kraken Financial soon. The bank, fully online, will provide “comprehensive deposit-taking, custody and fiduciary services for digital assets” for its US client at the first stage.
